3 Screens, 364 Seats
212 Center Street, Ashland, OH 44805, USA
The Ashland Theatre is an historic movie theatre located at 212 Center Street in Ashland, Ohio. It has a long and storied history providing entertainment to the residents of the community and surrounding areas, having first opened in 1942 as the Schine’s Ashland Theatre. At that time, seating was provided for 1,250 on the main floor and 250 in the balcony. After being reconfigured to accomodate three screens in 1976, it closed in 2009 and was unoccupied until 2017, when it was taken over by a non-profit community group known as Ashland Schine’s Theater Organization. A fundamental renovation was undertaken, which has created the new Ashland Theatre which boasts the latest recliners seats in a main 326-seat auditorium on the ground floor and two 49-seat auditoriums upstairs. It reopened on May 5, 2023 with movie screenings, concerts, theatrical productions, community meetings and private events.
