Inaugurated in 1963 and named after the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin , Cité Gagarine, a massive redbrick housing project in Ivry-sur-Seine, France, is the place bright-eyed, space-loving 16-year-old Youri calls home. However, after nearly sixty long years of use, the place has become inhospitable, dangerous, and above all, beyond repair. Now, facing evacuation and total demolition within six months, Youri embarks on a Quixotic mission to fix up the building.
