Zoë Bleu (birthname: Zoë Bleu Sidel) is an actor and the daughter of actor Rosanna Arquette, and who made her debut as a voice actor (under the name Zoë Sidel) in the cast of director/co-writer/cinematographer Aristomenis Tsirbas’s animated sci-fi movie, Battle for Terra (2007), starring the voice cast of Evan Rachel Wood, Brian Cox, James Garner (in his final film role), Chris Evans, Danny Glover, Amanda Peet, David Cross, Justin Long, Dennis Quaid and Luke Wilson, premiering at the Toronto Film Festival and grossing a poor $6.2 million for distributors Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions.
Bleu (again as Zoë Sidel) appeared in a small supporting role in director/writer Sofia Coppola’s crime movie, The Bling Ring (2013), co-starring Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Taissa Farmiga, Emma Watson and Leslie Mann, produced with funding in France (Pathe, StudioCanal), U.S. (American Zoetrope), Germany (Tobis Film), Japan (Tohokushinsha Film Corp.) and the U.K. (FilmNation Entertainment), launching in competition at the Un Certain Regard lineup at the Cannes Film Festival and grossing a solid $20.2 million for A24 and other international distributors.
Bleu (as Zoë Sidel) joined the cast of director/producer/star James Franco’s widely dismissed horror movie, The Institute (2017), with Allie Gallerani, Tim Blake Nelson, Lori Singer, Pamela Anderson, Josh Duhamel, and Eric Roberts, and released by Momentum Pictures. Bleu co-starred in her first significant role in director/writer Clarence Fuller’s indie drama, Signs of Love (2022), with Hopper Penn, Dylan Penn, and Rosanna Arquette, and which was released by Blue Fox Entertainment.
Zoë Bleu (as Zoë Bleu Sidel) was a member of the ensemble and costume designer of director/producer/actor Patricia Arquette’s feature filmmaking debut, Gonzo Girl (2023), adapted from Cheryl Della Pietra’s 2015 novel of the same title by screenwriters Rebecca Thomas and Jessica Caldwell, co-starring Camila Morrone, Willem Dafoe, Elizabeth Lail, Ray Nicholson, Rick Springfield, Sean Penn and James Urbaniak, and which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Bleu co-starred in dual roles opposite Caleb Landry Jones in director/writer Luc Besson’s English-language, French-produced Dracula (2025), with Christoph Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Ewens Abid and Guillaume de Tonquedec, produced by Luc Besson Production/EuropaCorp/TF1 Films Production/SND and grossing a strong $28 million in its summer 2025 French theatrical release by SND before a wide U.S. release in early 2026 by Vertical after having premiered abroad at the Rome and Sitges Film Festivals.
Bleu had her second co-starring role in director/writer/producer Johannes Boesiger’s British romantic drama, Fly Little Bird (date to be announced), with Michael Landes, Manjinder Virk, and Mohammad Bakri, and which was produced by Jovera Pictures AG/SA and The Imaginarium Films.
Personal life
Zoë Bleu was born and raised in Los Angeles and also in Big Sur, California, by parents John Sidel (political scientist, restaurateur) and actor Rosanna Arquette. Bleu’s parents divorced when she was five years old, and her mother raised her. Bleu’s grandfather is the famed actor Lewis Arquette, and great-grandfather is the actor Cliff Arquette; Bleu’s many uncles and aunts who are actors include David Arquette, Patricia Arquette, Courteney Cox, Alexis Arquette, Richmond Arquette, and Thomas Jane. Bleu’s stepfather is Todd Morgan, Rosanna Arquette’s fourth husband. Bleu attended The Esalen Institute in Big Sur and then majored in Poetry and Art History at Sarah Lawrence College, while studying acting via the Meisner technique developed by acting teacher Sanford Meisner. Bleu dated actor Jack Kilmer in 2013 and began dating actor Hopper Penn in 2023.
