Yonas Kibreab (birthname: Yonas Asuncion Kibreab) is a voice actor best known as the main character, Phinny, in Disney Junior TV’s popular animated series, Pupstruction (2023-2025), and who launched his feature film career voicing the title character of Disney/Pixar’s sci-fi adventure, Elio (2025), co-directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina with a voice cast including Zoe Saldaña, Remy Edgerly, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, Shirley Henderson, and Matthias Schweighöfer.
Kibreab made his feature live-action debut as co-star with Joel McHale and Paula Patton in the musical, Reimagined (date to be announced), composer Mateo Messina’s debut as a feature film director/co-writer (with Jeff Witzke), and based on Messina’s symphony titled The Pageant.
Kibreab returned to the animation space as the title voice actor in the Spanish/Estonian/American-backed animated version of Carlo Collodi’s classic tale, Pinocchio (date to be announced), directed by Viktor Lakisov and featuring the voices of Fred Tatasciore, Rob Paulsen, Phil LaMarr, Maurice LaMarche, Suzy Nakamura, Candi Milo, Jim Turner, Mark DeCarlo, John Mariano, Riker Lynch and Yeni Alvarez.
