Saleka Shyamalan is an American R&B singer-songwriter who began her professional career in 2020 with her debut single, “Clarity,” and expanded to acting in 2024. Shyamalan made her artistic debut in feature films as the songwriter-singer of the single, “Remain,” which appeared on the soundtrack of M. Night Shyamalan’s horror movie, Old (2021).
Shyamalan made her big screen acting debut portraying fictional pop star, Lady Raven, in director/writer/producer M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller, Trap (2024), starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills, Alison Pill, and Kid Cudi, and released wide by Warner Bros., which acquired the movie from Universal Pictures in 2023.
Saleka Shyamalan was born and raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, by parents, including father and filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan. Saleka Shyamalan has one younger sister, filmmaker Ishana. Shyamalan studied classical piano and began her singer-songwriting career at age 16. Shyamalan attended and graduated from Brown University, majoring in Literary Arts and Music.
