Sabrina Wu is a triple threat as a feature film actor, comedy stand-up performer, and TV comedy writer. After working as a staff writer on the Disney+ comedy series, Doogie Kameāloha M.D. (2022-2023), and several stand-up appearances (including The Tonight Show), Wu landed her first big-screen role in a co-starring spot in the hit female-led comedy, Joy Ride (2023), co-starring Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, and Stephanie Hsu, and directed/co-written/co-produced by Adele Lim.

Sabrina Wu was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan by parents who immigrated from the People’s Republic of China and work at the University of Michigan. Wu has one older brother, now an engineer based in San Francisco. Wu was on the school basketball team, debate team, and chess club, and she developed a passion for comedy in her teen years and performed in talent shows while attending the private college-prep Greenhills High School.
After graduation, Wu attended Harvard University, where they were co-president of the Harvard College Stand-Up Society. While at Harvard, Wu was a member of the improv group, On Thin Ice, and the university’s artistic society, the Signet Society. After graduating from Harvard with a B.A. degree in psychology in 2020, Wu moved to Brooklyn, New York. Wu identifies as binary, using they/them pronouns. Wu is in a relationship with Jasi Elle.
