Kyle Marvin is a writer/producer/director/writer/actor who established his name as co-creator (with partner Michael Covino) of The Climb (2019), which Marvin co-wrote with Covino, produced and starred in, expanding from a short film in 2017 which Marvin co-wrote and produced. The short premiered at the 2017 Sundance film festival, while the feature premiered in the Cannes film festival’s Un Certain Regard section.
Prior to this, Marvin worked as a producer on a handful of indie features (as well as three shorts), including writer-director Morgan Krantz’s Babysitter (2015); writer-director Sam Kretchmar’s Keep in Touch (2015); writer-director Josh Locy’s Hunter-Gatherer (2016), premiering at the South by South film festival); and writer-director Justin Tipping’s Kicks (2016), premiering at the Tribeca film festival).
Following The Climb, Marvin produced writer-director Ryan Maxey’s documentary, One Road to Quartzite (2022), and writer-director Daniel Antebi’s God’s Time (2023), as well as co-starring in the Apple TV series, WeCrashed (2022), with Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway. Kyle Marvin was director-producer of the NFL-set comedy, 80 for Brady (2023), starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field, and Tom Brady, opening in early February 2023 and projected to gross over $30 million globally.
