Jalyn Hall (birthname: Jalyn Emil Hall) is a young actor who has appeared in several studio movies including Shaft (2019) and Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021). Hall’s feature debut was in director Eli Roth’s The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018), starring Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, and Kyle MacLachlan.
Hall scored a supporting role in director Tim Story’s remake of Shaft, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Jessie T. Usher, Richard Roundtree, Regina Hall, Titus Welliver, Method Man, and Isaach De Bankole. Writer-director Will Forbes’ drama, John Henry (2020), was Hall’s third feature, in support of star Terry Crews and cast members Jamila Velazquez and Ludacris.
Hall earned another supporting role in writer-director Joe Robert Cole’s prison drama for Netflix, All Day and a Night (2020), starring Ashton Sanders and Jeffrey Wright. In the sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021), Hall played the younger version of the role played by co-star Khris Davis, opposite co-stars LeBron James and Don Cheadle.
Joining the cast of the indie feature, Bruiser (2022), Hall was directed by Miles Warren (also credited as a writer) in a film that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Hall’s most significant role to date was as the tragic character of Emmett Till in writer-director Chinonye Chukwu’s Till (2022), with Danielle Deadwyler, Frankie Faison, and Haley Bennett. Hall was part of the large ensemble of star-director Michael Jai White’s Western, The Outlaw Johnny Black (date to be announced), starring Byron Minns, Glynn Turman, and Tommy Davidson.
