Ian Tuason is a Canadian-born filmmaker who began his career making comedy shorts starting in 2009 and then expanded his storytelling style to include drama and horror with shorts in 2016 and 2017. Tuason made his theatrical feature debut as director/writer/executive producer of the Canadian-producer horror movie, Undertone (2026), co-starring Nina Kiri and Adam DiMarco, premiering at Fantasia Fest and then released wide by A24 (U.S.)/VVS Films (Canada).
Ian Tuason was born and raised in Canada by his Filipino-born parents. Tuason attended and graduated from York University in Toronto with a B.A. degree in Creative Writing.
