Hassie Harrison (birthname: Hassie Elizabeth Harrison) is best known for her recurring role as Laramie in the hit Paramount + series, Yellowstone (2020-2024), but debuted on the big screen in a segment of the horror anthology movie, Southbound (2015), titled “The Way In,” with Kate Beahan and Gerald Downey under the direction of Radio Silence, and which premiered in the Toronto Film Festival’s Midnight Madness section before a domestic release by The Orchard. Harrison soon co-starred in the horror thriller, Dementia (2015), with Gene Jones, Kristina Klebe, Peter Cilella, and Richard Riehle under Mike Testin’s direction, which was released by IFC Midnight.
Harrison had a supporting role in the Chris Redd-starring comedy, Fat Camp (2017), directed by Jennifer Arnold and co-starring Anabella Acosta, Michael Cienfuegos, Mel Rodriguez and Vivica A. Fox, followed by Harrison turning a supporting role in indie director/co-writer/producer Ty Roberts’s West Texas Depression Era-set drama, The Iron Orchard (2018), co-starring Austin Nichols, Lane Garrison, Ali Cobrin and Lew Temple, and released by Santa Rita Film Co. Harrison landed another supporting role in director/writer Oliver Daly’s sci-fi adventure, A.X.L. (2018), based on Daly’s short film, Miles, and starring Alex Neustaedter, with Becky G, Alex MacNicoll, Dominic Rains, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Thomas Jane, and which was produced (in part) and released by Global Road Entertainment.
Harrison had her first feature starring role in the indie rom-com, Back to Lyla (2022), written by Guillermo Noriega and co-starring Gonzalo Martin, Emma Kenney, Chris Lee, and Esteban de la Isla under America Young’s direction. Harrison earned her second—and more prominent--starring role in the horror-survival thriller, Dangerous Animals (2025), directed by horror maestro Sean Byrne, and with the cast of Josh Heuston, Rob Carlton, Ella Newton, Liam Greinke and Jai Courtney, and released by the Independent Film Company (formerly IFC) after premiering in the competition selection of Directors’ Fortnight in the Cannes Film Festival.
Hassie Harrison was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, by her parents, Frank (rancher) and Laurie Harrison. Harrison, with her mother’s encouragement, performed in the Dallas Children’s Theater, with which her mother was very active. Harrison completed high school in 1 ½ years and began attending Southern Methodist University. Harrison subsequently studied European cinema in Copenhagen, studied acting with acting coach Ivana Chubbuck, and improv comedy at the Los Angeles-based Upright Citizens Brigade. Harrison has been married to singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham since 2023. Harrison’s height is 5’ 6”.
