South African actor Charlbi Dean (birthname: Charlbi Dean Kriek) is a co-star with Woody Harrelson and Harris Dickinson in Ruben Östlund’s drama-comedy, Triangle of Sadness, premiering in the 2022 edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Formerly a model, Dean appeared first in the popular South African movie series, Spud (2010) and the follow-up, Spud 2: The Madness Continues (2013).
Her biggest role before Triangle of Sadness was in Rick Bieber’s horror fantasy, Don’t Sleep (2017), with Drea de Matteo. She joined the cast of David Strathairn and Hill Harper for An Interview with God in 2018, the same year she was the DC Universe character Syonide in the series Black Lightning.
Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Charlbi Dean has been in a relationship with model Luke Volker since 2018. Her height is 5’ 7¾”.
