A fan favorite on television in various series created by Joss Whedon (including Dollhouse and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as well as the CW hit series, The 100 (2014-2000), Dichen Lachman has shifted into high-profile action movie mode with Jurassic World Dominion (2022), with Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Laura Dern. Lachman’s many television credits include several regular roles in such series as ABC’s Last Resort (2012-2013), TNT’s King & Maxwell (2013), Showtime’s Shameless (2014-2015), TNT’s The Last Ship (2016), and a 23-episode run on TNT’s series remake of David Michôd’s Australian movie, Animal Kingdom (2018-2021).
During this busy period, Dichen Lachman acted in a handful of minor American independent films, until she was cast as the voice of General Atitaya and Spine Warrior in Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon (2021), with Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Daniel Dae Kim, and Gemma Chan. Lachman then appeared as Soyona Santos in Jurassic World Dominion. Lachman co-stars with Adam Scott, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette, in the dystopian comedy-drama, Severance (2022), on Apple TV+.
Born in the Nepal capital city of Kathmandu, Dichen Lachman moved to Adelaide, Australia with her Australian father and Nepalese mother. Her schooling included Gilles Street Primary School and Norwood Morialta High School, graduating to higher education at Adelaide-based St. Mary’s College, Annesley College, and the University of Adelaide. Lachman has been married to actor Maximilian Osinski since 2015; the couple has one child.
