Action movie actor Alex Mallari Jr. has graduated from small roles on television to bigger spots in feature films. His first significant feature assignment was his role in the 2014 remake of RoboCop, with Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson. His next notable role was opposite Nicholas Cage in the supernatural thriller, Pay the Ghost (2015), followed by Jeff Chan’s supernatural action movie, Code 8 (2019).
Mallari scored a larger role in the Netflix science fiction-adventure drama, The Adam Project (2022), starring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana. Also in 2022, Mallari joined the ensemble of the crime comedy, Shotgun Wedding, starring Jennifer Lopez, Josh Duhamel, Lenny Kravitz, and Jennifer Coolidge. Mallari has also appeared in a recurring role in Netflix’s family comedy-drama, Ginny & Georgia (2021). Mallari appeared in the sequel Code 8: Part II, again co-written and directed by Jeff Chan.
Although he was born in The Philippines, Alex Mallari Jr. was raised in the Canadian city of Scarborough, Ontario. His father is Alex Mallari Sr. He attended and graduated from the University of Toronto, where he studied criminology and then focused on drama and acting. He has been married to Ashley Snook since 2019; the couple has one child. His height is 5’ 10”.
Martial Artist: Alex Mallari Jr. reached the Canadian national competitive level of Taekwando, reaching third-degree black belt and becoming a Junior Canadian National Taekwondo champion twice.
