The Premiere 6 Theatre in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is a locally-owned 6-screen movie theater with an interesting history. It was originally opened as the Martin Theatre on March 16, 1967, with a single screen. In 1974, the auditorium was separated into two rooms, and the theatre was renamed the Martin Twin. Later in 1984 and 1986 further expansions results in it having six screens to play a wide variety of films. It was taken over by local owners and renamed the Premiere 6 in 2001. The theater offers a diverse range of current Hollywood movies, and provides repeate customers with benefits through a loyalty program. Both tickets and concessions are priced reasonably, compared to national chain multiplexes.
