The Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia is an historic and beloved cultural landmark. Founded in 1939 and located in the Briarcliff Plaza, it is Atlanta’s longest-running and only independent cinema. Designed in an Art-Deco style by architect George Harwell Bond, it opened its doors with the screening of George Cukor’s film “The Women.” Today, the Plaza Theatre remains a vibrant cultural space and brings the most impactful and enjoyable films to the community.
