Phoenix Theatres Atoka 16, formerly known as CinePlanet 16, has officially reopened in Atoka, TN under new management by Phoenix Theatres Entertainment. After years of decline and eventual closure, the theater has undergone extensive renovations, including the addition of electric reclining seats, an expanded food menu made possible by new kitchen equipment, and repaired projection and HVAC systems. Initially, 11 of the 16 screens are operational, with the remainder set to reopen later this summer. Now open seven days a week, the theater is offering promotions like $5 Bargain Tuesdays, a customer loyalty program, and a reusable popcorn bucket for discounted refills. Serving the greater Tipton County area — including Millington and Covington — Phoenix Atoka 16 aims to restore the community’s moviegoing tradition by offering first-run films, online ticketing, reserved seating, and an upgraded viewing experience.
