Part of a rising generation of Asian American comic actors, Stephanie Hsu made a striking appearance in Disney’s first feature starring an Asian cast and a major box office hit, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), even while she was part of the ensemble of the third (2019) season of the hit Amazon series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in the role of Mei.
Hsu appeared opposite Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis in Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) and is slated for the voice cast of Netflix’s animated The Monkey King (2023), with BD Wong, Bowen Yang, and Hoon Lee. Hsu has regularly appeared in features, shorts, and guest TV series spots since her debut in the Chinese series Dandelion in 2004.
After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Hsu became a member of the Atlantic Theater Company and mentored the late Obie-winning director-author Elizabeth Swados.
