Summaries

Plot Summary

After leaving prison in 1992, Edir Macedo (Petrônio Gontijo) faces a series of persecutions and tragedies. The movie shows how the members of the church were attacked on the streets after one of the bishops kicked a catholic saint live on TV. The many law suits were issued against him in a sequence that seems to had no end. His Mother's health deteriorating until when she passes away in His house. In 1998 the collapse of the ceiling of a church in Osasco/Sao Paulo kills 24 of the churches members and leave hundreds in life changing effects. He goes to the local and help the survivors. That is when he decides to build the churches instead of just hire halls, this was the moment that the engineering department was created. He is in his lowest, having suicidal thoughts when God gives him the inspiration to climb mount Sinai in Egypt and burn all the document from the court. One by one all the law suits are dismissed. The judge Luiz Ramos is found guilty of fraud, the Senator is arrested for election fraud. The church keeps on growing and the events of the church have record of attendance of millions of people in all states of Brazil. The movie also shows the opening of the cathedral in Soweto (South Africa) in 2009. Bishop Macedo dances on the altar of the church the joy is contagious. After another visit to Jerusalem in 2010 he comes back to Brazil with the vision of opening the greatest temple of the UCKG. The Temple of Solomon took 4 year to be completed and the movie ends with the declaration of the Bishop, his wife and daughters, his sons in law and Bishop Clodomir
