Cristiana Dell’Anna is an Italian actor who has worked in both Italian and American film productions. Dell’Anna’s feature film debut was a supporting role in the Italian comedy Mr. Happiness (Mister Felicità) (2017), directed and co-written by Alessandro Siani, who also starred with Diego Abatantuono and Carla Signoris, and which grossed $10.5 million.
Dell’Anna was cast by top Italian director/writer/producer Paolo Sorrentino in a supporting role in his autobiographical movie, The Hand of God (2021), co-starring Filippo Scotti, Toni Servillo, and Teresa Saponangelo, and premiering at the Venice film festival (where the movie won the Grand Jury Prize and the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Scotti) before a theatrical and streaming release by Netflix.
Dell’Anna reunited with Servillo in a top supporting role in writer-director Mario Martone’s biographical theater drama, The King of Laughter (Qui rido io) (2021), with Maria Nazionale, Antonia Truppo, and Eduardo Scarpetta, and premiering in competition at the Venice film festival. Cristiana Dell’Anna’s first co-starring role was in co-writer/director Paolo Strippoli’s Italian-Belgian horror movie, Flowing (Piove) (2022), with Fabrizio Rongione, Francesco Gheghi, Aurora Menenti, and Leon De La Vallee.
After her second co-starring feature role in the Netflix-streaming Danish-produced comedy-drama, Toscana (2022), Dell’Anna had a supporting role in director/writer/producer Sydney Sibilia’s Italian biographical comedy, Mixed by Erry (2023), with Luigi D’Oriano, Giuseppe Arena, and Emanuele Palumbo. Dell’Anna then gained her first starring title role in Cabrini (2024), about future saint Francesca Cabrini, under co-writer Alejandro Monteverde’s direction, and co-starring David Morse, Giancarlo Giannini, and John Lithgow. Dell’Anna followed this by returning to Italy in a starring role opposite Laetitia Casta in writer/director Leonardo D’Agostini’s adapted thriller, Una storia nera (date to be announced).
Cristiana Dell’Anna starred under Domenico de Feudis in the thriller co-written by Nicola Ravera and Gabriele Scarfone, La coda del diavolo (date to be announced), with Luca Argentero and Luca Pusceddu. Dell’Anna was then cast in the lead role by writer-director Marco Gianfreda in his drama, Tre regole Infallibili (date to be announced), with cast members Roberta Rigano, Emmanuele Aita, and Matteo Olivetti.
Cristiana Dell’Anna was born in Naples, Italy, and was raised in the Neapolitan suburbs of Castel Volturno and Giugliano. Dell’Anna abandoned her studies in medicine and chose acting as her career goal, leading Dell’Anna to move to London, where she waitressed at a pub while studying acting and theater at Guildhall School of Music and then at Drama Studio London. Dell’Anna’s husband is named Emanuele. Dell’Anna’s height is 5’ 5”.
