Spotlight Cinemas opened its first theater in April 1996. This first theater located in Bangor, Maine started as a discount theater. In 2003, adjusting to industry changes, the cinema was upgraded with stadium seating and began showing first-run movies. Since then, Spotlight has grown to 6 locations and almost 50 screens along the East Coast – from Maine to South Carolina. Many things have changed over the years, but not our dedication to providing quality family entertainment and exceptional value.
All Spotlight locations feature digital projection and sound. Some locations have 3D and stadium seating. We even re-introduced the discount theater concept at our St. Andrews Cinema in Columbia, SC.
