Emily Bett Rickards is best known for her recurring role as Felicity Smoak in the long-running CW TV series, Arrow (2012-2020), and the “Arrowverse” CW spinoff shows The Flash (2014-2017), Legends of Tomorrow (2016-2017) and Supergirl (2017), and the web animated show, Vixen (2015-2016).
Rickards had her first role in a significant big-screen feature in a supporting part in the fine period drama, Brooklyn (2015), with a screenplay by Nick Hornby based on Colm Tóibín’s acclaimed 2009 novel, and starring Oscar-nominated Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Jim Broadbent, and Julie Walters under John Crowley’s direction, and which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and scoring rave reviews and an excellent $62 million box office for Lionsgate and Mongrel Media.
Rickards co-starred with Matthew Glave and Jana Winternitz in director/writer/producer Michael J. Gallagher’s Big Sur-set comedy-drama, Funny Story (2018), premiering at Slamdance Film Festival before a limited release by Blue Fox Entertainment. Rickards starred in the Gilles de Maistre-directed family film, Autumn and the Black Jaguar (2024), with Lumi Pollack and Wayne Charles Baker, grossing over $21 million for StudioCanal.
Emily Bett Rickards was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada by her parents, including Diane Greig (psychotherapist). Rickards attended Vancouver-area schools and graduated early from her high school. Rickards studied acting and graduated from the Vancouver Film School, as well as the Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. Rickards’s height is 5’ 5”.
